Founded in 1986 in Bridgeport, CT, by Bill LeBlanc and Ralph Palumbo, Rel-Tech has grown from its roots in corporate management to a thriving business. Both founders previously managed divisions for larger corporations before establishing Rel-Tech. Since its inception, the company has expanded its team by hiring experienced personnel in both engineering and contract manufacturing. Our middle and upper management teams have been with the company for 10 to 15 years, ensuring you receive the highest-quality products and services.
Today, our facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art manufacturing, testing, and quality assurance equipment, enabling us to efficiently process all types of orders, from prototypes to low- to high-volume.

John Barago
John is currently the General Manager of Rel-Tech. He joined the company in 1986 as an engineering student. As one of the first employees of this start-up company, John has worked in ALL aspects of the business operations. In 1987, John was promoted to Director of Manufacturing, where he managed the technical aspects of production and provided customer support for technical inquiries. In 2019, after Rel-Tech was acquired by RF Industries, John was promoted to General Manager, overseeing all operations for the business. His true passion is to solve problems and deliver a product that meets his customers’ needs. For John, success is measured when a customer becomes a long-term partner.
Rachel Paris
Rachel is the Regional Human Resources Manager at Rel-Tech, where she ensures everything runs smoothly. She supports teams, fosters a positive workplace culture, and helps people perform at their best every day. With a talent for connecting with others and maintaining a positive office atmosphere, she is the go-to person for anything related to people in her region. Before her current position, Rachel worked as an Office Manager, where she gained valuable experience in keeping operations efficient. During this time, she learned the ins and outs of the industry and built strong relationships. With years of experience in HR, Rachel combines professionalism with a fun, people-first approach.
Robert Benoit
Robert Benoit has been a cornerstone of Rel-Tech for over 35 years, bringing unmatched experience and dedication to his role as Quality Control Manager. Throughout his career, Robert has played a key role in upholding the high standards our customers depend on every day. As our ISO 9001:2015 Representative, he ensures our processes remain compliant, efficient, and continuously improving. He is also a Certified IPC Specialist, bringing expert-level knowledge of industry standards and best practices to everything we produce. Robert’s attention to detail, deep institutional knowledge, and commitment to quality help keep Rel-Tech operating at the highest level—making him an invaluable part of our team.
